Burial in Vietnam

In most areas of Vietnam we bury people who have passed away twice. At first, we bury people in a wooden coffin for three to five years. After three to five years, we dig the coffin up, collect all the bones, clean the bones with herbal liquid and re-bury all the bones in a stone or ceramic coffin. This is a custom of the majority of Vietnamese as we believe that we have life after life.
